Shutterhub have got a call entitled Postcards from Europe. Information can be found on their website. Here is a little extract: Postcards from Europe is a call for response and collaboration, triggered by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Postcards from Europe will be exhibited from November – December 2021 in the UK at Cambridge University. We are looking forward to including many hundreds of images from this open call. We want to see things the way you see them, and to share those views with other people.
This call for entries is open to everyone. In a significant time in history this exhibition sets out to share aspects of European culture, spanning all genres of photography, and collating images which include social, political, historical, traditional and observational responses.
Happy to see Shutterhub used a photograph of my dad for their insta and twitter shout out for this call.
During covid 19, a number of hashtags appeared on instagram. And a few of these posted my images on their site. Such as photographers under confinement, photographers in isolation, mass isolation format, mass_isolation_ig. Below I have included some of the images that were used, as a reminder of Covid 19 times in 2020 (the image quality is not that good as I screenshot them mostly from my insta news feed).
Oliver’s photograph also appeared in a selection of 50 curated by PH museum and their partner C41 magazine mentioned a photo of Oliver on instagram. Around the same time Photo-Scratch also published Habitat photo (I have included these at the end).
Photograd published a photo from my series “Grizedale in lockdown’ on their online gallery as well.
During lockdown my photos were also featured in the Local Newsstand Open Exhibition, this is an ongoing digital photography exhibition. It is part of our initiative to continue promoting and showcasing works by independent artiste and photographers.
