Dawn, Kate and myself were invited to BBC Radio Lancashire headquarters in Blackburn on the 5th June 2019 to talk about our photographs in the RPS representation on the line: (un)framing our identities exhibition.
More than excited that my images (through curatorspace) got chosen to be exhibited in the USA in Jamestown, in the state of New York till end of July 2019. Responding to the theme of Blue Mind. Blue Mind is “a mildly meditative state characterized by calm, peace, unity, and a sense of general happiness and satisfaction with life in the moment”.
Responding to a call out on Twitter by the RPS, it was super exciting to be involved in part I of the Royal Photographic Society, Representation on the line: (Un)framing our identities exhibition, in Chelsea in London. I visited the un-private view on the 29th May 2019 with a few fellow Blackpool photographers. I showed photographs of Kate Yates. Here are some impressions from that day (little did I know how much this exhibition was going to mean to me and my fellow Blackpool photographers that day. There were also a couple of local (1 & 2) newspaper articles about this event.
